Prepare U Partners With New York State PTA
By: Prepare UNEW PARTNERSHIP TO SUPPORT STUDENTS
Prepare U is pleased to partner with the NYS PTA to support children throughout New York State. Prepare U is a multi-faceted experiential mental health curriculum, developed by experts and endorsed by leading psychologists, and was specifically designed for students between the ages of 13-18, with an emphasis on supporting student mental health education during the critical transition that occurs in moving from middle school to high school.
“NYS PTA is excited to work with Prepare U to support New York’s children. New York State took the important step of mandating mental health education, and we look forward to working to see that every child is supported appropriately and adequately leading to lifelong success,” offered Gracemarie Rozea, President of NYS PTA.
The Prepare U program is designed to be a plug-and-play system that any teacher can easily facilitate, either as a standalone course or as an integrated part of an overall health sequence. Prepare U has been featured on the front pages of publications addressing mental health and teen suicide, including features in the U.S. Department of Education Newsletter, Education Week and Teen Vogue.
Prepare U and NYS PTA are excited to work together to help the children of New York reach their potential and become the leaders of tomorrow. Prepare U is now being implemented in schools in 5 different states including schools ranked in the top 10 nationally. NYS PTA is the largest and oldest child advocacy organization in New York State, serving the families of our 2.6 million school children statewide since 1897.
